The extension requires no account, includes no analytics or advertising cookies, and does not upload your monitoring data.
What the extension stores
When you use CartTelltale Check, the extension may store the active page URL and title, basic viewport and Shopify storefront signals, the selected element’s locator, label and text, its presence, visibility and interactivity, check results, and optional accuracy feedback.
Where this data stays
This information is stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage. It is not transmitted to CartTelltale, sold, shared with advertisers, or used for profiling.
What we do not collect
- Shopify Admin data or credentials
- Orders, customer records, addresses, or payment information
- Browsing history outside the page you explicitly check
- Analytics events, advertising identifiers, or tracking cookies
Chrome permissions
activeTab and scripting let the extension inspect the storefront page only after you click it. storage keeps your selected page, baseline, results, and feedback in your browser.
Control and deletion
You can delete the monitored page and local data from the extension. Removing the extension or clearing its browser storage also removes locally stored information.
Limited Use
CartTelltale Check’s use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Voluntary support email
If you choose to email us, your email provider sends your address and the content you choose to include to our support inbox. We use that correspondence to respond and understand product feedback. Opening the help link does not attach your monitoring data. You may request deletion of your support correspondence by emailing us. Visiting this website also makes ordinary network requests to its hosting provider; this is separate from the extension’s local checks.
